Amazon Inventory and Fulfillment Options

Order processing for Easyship orders

Once you receive an order from Amazon, it will be automatically synced to Ginesys OMS (Browntape), and from there to Ginesys ERP, a sale order shall be created instantly. Your inventory will be reduced on the Amazon platform (and on other platforms as well) automatically through the Ginesys OMS (Browntape). This action will simultaneously reserve your inventory in the Ginesys ERP for the orders to be fulfilled. As the inventory is shared you do not incur any additional storage costs for inventory apart from your own costs.

Shipping out orders for Amazon Easyship

Shipping out orders is really easy with Ginesys OMS. Once an order is marked as ready to ship on the OMS, you would be able to schedule pickup and it would get picked up and delivered by the Amazon logistics network.

2. Selfship

Listing and Syncing Inventory for Selfship

Under Amazon Easyship, you can choose to ship the goods using a logistics partner of your choice as well. Once the products are listed & live on the portal you can connect the inventory for the same from Ginesys ERP to Amazon using Ginesys OMS (Browntape). Once connected, the inventory for these items will be synced automatically to Amazon. 3. FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon)

Under Fulfilled by Amazon or FBA model of fulfillment, you send a certain quantity of goods to the Amazon fulfillment center (distribution center) and Amazon takes care of the rest. In this case, you have to dedicate a certain quantity of goods to the Amazon channel. You are also choosing to ship only through the Amazon logistics network. As the inventory is dedicated, Ginesys OMS does not provide inventory updates to Amazon. But however, the inventory management for the consignments to these fulfillment centers can be managed via Ginesys ERP.

Amazon also provides a special upgraded version of FBA, Amazon is also offering Multichannel Fulfillment (MCF) to sellers who want to sell their products on multiple platforms including their own website but using Amazon fulfillment centers and logistics.

Syncing with Amazon using Ginesys OMS (Browntape) for SellerFlex Fulfillment

Under SellerFlex model of fulfillment, you set aside a certain quantity of goods in your own warehouse for the Amazon channel orders. You have to manage the warehouse on your own, and you have to ship the goods using a logistics partner of your choice. Amazon provides you with an order management system to manage the inventory. This is a special program that is invite-only. For managing the warehouse you could use Ginesys WMS that is integrated with the Ginesys OMS.

Under Cloudtail Fulfillment, Cloudtail a 3rd party seller gets involved. Once Cloudtail receives a customer order, it raises a PO to the seller. The seller then invoices Cocoblu while shipping goods to the end customer. It is a bill-to-ship-to model of commerce. Here API integrations between the Cloudtail system, Amazon, and the OMS is mandatory to achieve a real-time sync between the three parties. Ginesys OMS is synced up with the Cloudtail ordering and inventory system to ensure that their PO is available to be fulfilled as a customer delivery. The invoice to Cloudtail was generated at an agreed price between the seller and Cloudtail. Cloudtail has been replaced by various entities like Cocoblu, VRP Telematic & Dawntech electronics

Under Vendor Central EDI, Amazon places a direct open purchase order to the seller (vendor). Here are API integrations between the Amazon EDI system and Amazon. The OMS is mandatory to achieve a real-time sync between the two parties. Ginesys OMS is synced up with the EDI to ensure that the Amazon PO is available to be fulfilled as a B2B order. The invoice to Amazon is generated at an agreed price between the seller and Amazon.

Under the Amazon multi-channel fulfillment (MLF) model, if you have multi-fulfillment locations/warehouses/stores where you can fulfill the orders, Amazon has its OMNI model. So when the orders are received, the orders get allocated to the closest warehouse/store or which has the inventory and you can fulfill the orders from the allocated location. And the inventory is managed centrally via Ginesys OMS (Browntape).
